BROADCAST 2: Airport Projects and BOT model

In 2006, we started two airport projects at the same time, one in Turkey and the other elsewhere in the region, says Ali Haydar Ozak, Abu Dhabi area director at TAV Construction.

The Turkey one was a BOT project, the other was under the normal procurement model. The BOT project we finished in two years and we started operation. The other one we finished in almost five years. Using the BOT model definitely helped us finish the Turkey project in less time. The benefits of BOT are that the finance is prearranged, and that we design and we build.
